My mum’s 17” AMD APU notebook is starting to get laggy with it’s mechanical HDD and 8GB ram. Is this laptop upgradable? I have 16GB of ram on hand and a spare SSD that I can put in, but I don’t want to open it up until I have some sort of guide or knowing if it’s even upgradable. Thanks.
Yes it is everything you need to know is in this manual (page 18): http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c05… Depending on what processor you have it will either be using DDR4 or DDR3 SODIMMs. SSD can be put in as it uses a 2.5” HDD by standard.
