my laptop has a core i3 but I am trying to upgrade to core i7. do i need to replace all motherboard. If not which parts do i need to replace or upgrade.
In this laptop you would need to replace the motherboard with one of the same model. The CPU is non upgradable.
Below are the steps to replace a laptop processor (i3 to i7): Check if your CPU can be upgraded at all (M-type processor) Check the motherboard socket type to replace the laptop processor. Get technical and find a compatible processor to upgrade. Just do it and this is how I did it. Regards, Will
