Bought digitizer without tools as i have them already. They do not offer a complete digitizer just by it self or i would have dought it. So instructions do not show how to take my old home button and transfer it to the new digitizer. So could some show me what to pull up so I don’t mess it up. I figured since they sold it the instructions would show this. Thanks a bunch. Perry

Chances are you may have bought the wrong part. Is your iPad mini the first generation one? If yes, the home buttons are usually pre assembled with the screens. But if your iPad mini is the one with the touch ID then the home button needs to be transferred. Ipad Mini 2 and newer use the digitizers with no home button pre-installed while the older iPad minis without touch ID use replacement digitizers with home button pre-installed.

the home button flex is surface soldered. you will need to use the soldering iron to remove the flex at this point, and attach it to the new one.
