In Asus T100 is there BIOS battery? Or do I just remove battery for several minutes? Or maybe anyone have Rescue Password for 2012/01/01?

Nvm, I guessed password. It was “asdfmovie” xDDD But thanks for trying.

Try this rescue password: ABLDABLA Let me know if it works :-)

Hi Idav2k9, Because it prevents other people from changing the configuration of your PC, if you happen to leave it unattended for a short time, like if you are in a library for instance. There are some people who think that it is funny to do this. Once bitten……

Assuming you are locked out of the OS as well and can not simply use a third party tool or change your date to use a recovery password, then use this method. It is actually easier than hassling with all that IMO. == Using a Backdoor Password == Here is a list of American Megatrends Inc. backdoors. A password in BIOS which always works irrespective of what password you have set in BIOS. Its a master password which is used for testing and troubleshooting purposes. A.M.I. AAAMMMIII AMI?SW AMI_SW AMI BIOS CONDO HEWITT RAND LKWPETER MI Oder PASSWORD This will allow you to bypass the password. For most systems you can get the list for your use by inputting the incorrect password 3 times. You should see a message that reads “System Disabled” followed by a number. Go to BIOS-PW.org and input that number to get the password list for all manufacturers that match that checksum you entered. These will always work as long as the password you put in matches the checksum the system gave you, because that will be the same checksum generated by your password.

Also, don’t worry about the system disabled message because it’s just a scare tactic. All you have to do is turn off the computer and turn it back on and you’ll be able to enter the BIOS password again without any issue. This method works for almost any computer so instead of burying it here I am going to check to see if there is a guide write up for it, and if not create one for easier access.

Go to Windows and set dat to 2002/1/2 (US date format) reboot and when it promt for password hit alt+r for recovery password mode type in pass ALAA4ABA

When I hit alt+r, my bios date keeps changing. How do I find the right password?

I and thanks for help, but on T100H with 2012/01/01 don’t work ? Why ??? Don’t work with caps, without caps, on screen, on keyboard, on external keyboard… Please help

I have this asus n3700-a/k20ce model and there is no jumper to clear cmos. Pressing alt+r wont work. I have taken the battery out for more than 24hours even tried up to 2 days. Shorted the negative and positive of the battery. Even stripping all the cables out but no luck at all. This is frustrating. Even asus couldnt give a good solution. Maybe next time before u buy an asus mobo.. better check whether it havr a cmos reset function or not.
