Airport card and connecting cable have been replaced but still have very weak or no reception. If the MBP is right next to the AP, some reception is possible. Would like to try replacing the antenna. Is there a guide to follow? Thank you.
The antenna is in the display. Check you cables to see if you can discern any damage about the hinge where they lead from the card into the display. See step #7 of this guide: MacBook Pro 15" Unibody Early 2011 AirPort/Bluetooth Board Replacement
