Hello. Recently the backlight of my macbook pro 13" (A1278) stopped working. I have opened the backcase disconnected the little ribbon cable and reconnected it. It does not work. Is there any other part that controls the backlight? Also My keyboard isnt working for a long time. I used a usb keyboard instead. I’ve got a thunderbolt > hdmi converter so I can use my tv as display, but since I have to reinstall osx in order for thunderbolt to work, i cannot use my tv right now… If I need to replace the backlight, how do I do this? Thanks

dannyhtek, it could be an issue with your LVDS cable (try to reseat it), an issue with your LCD or (worst case scenario) backlight circuitry issues on your logic board. Start with the cable first.
