Chosen Solution
I’ve bought several activation locked iPhone 7’ s with the mindset to simply replace the logic/motherboard. In digging deeper in my research, I’ve found that the logic board is actually connected to the touch ID. Since the iPhone 7’s “home button” is actually just software now, opposed to the previous iPhones, it makes the whole button useless. Is there any backdoor solutions anyone has found? I’ve heard Apple has a re-calibration machine to match the logic board with the touch ID, although access is of course restricted to apple fixes only.
Touch ID and the logic board are paired. only apple can re-pair it.
