Chosen Solution

We’ve all seen it happen. The silicone rubber insulation on the cable connecting the brick to the laptop has been nicked and now the damage is ‘running’ exposing the shielding wires. Apple’s response is replace it - Yeah at $100+ per time and I’m sick of it. I wanna Fixit. I have tried wrapping it with insulating tape but have not had a lot of success because the silicone shrinks and displaces the tape. I found a good link to doing the job but the embedded link for the part was broken and I have not been able to find a new source. Has any body got a new source of parts?
