so right now my xbox 360 analog sticks are all suffering from the same problem is that the analog stick is loose and wont fix its self back to center it makes it really annoying in game that my character is moving ever so slightly off in to a direction. so my question is how can i fix a the loose analog stick? with out any solder or having to buy a new controller.
The drift is a very common problem but infortunately no real fix. Cosmetic issues are really the only thing that is cost effective to be fixed. You can get a used controller for like $20.00 to $25.00.
For about half the price of buying a used controller here is a firstaid/rebuild kit for it: http://secure.llamma.com/catalog/product…
You need to change the potentiometer. You can get a potentiometer in good condition, by an original xbox control.
Its always good to have spare joypads around, a 10 bucks thingy usually fits the need, also old ps1 dualshocks seem to have very durable parts its as simple as desoldering the sticks and put in the harvested on and solder it back most analog sticks except for ps3 and nontendo ones are the same and the pcb of a dissected pc joypad can be used to make old joysticks like sidewinder or even the old amiga thingies to work with usb
If it works fine, but is just loose then follow the repair guide to take it apart and put a DAB of silicone on under the stick. This way you can still take it off it you want to change them out later. That’s what I did and it works perfect. Hope that helps!
can i see bord of controller’s charger
