Hi, i have 2.5’’ hdd with a torx (T6) screw on the pcb that from the force it’s turned into a round hole. I have used the rubber band method but still no luck.Also i cannot use a heat gun cause the microchips may get loose. I must try at all cost not to damage the pcb. Here is some images.
@pydev, Nick, Hardly looks like the head of a screw any more. Does not appear enough material left to cut a slot in it so I recommend you carefully drill the head off using a wee bit bigger metal bit (larger then the threaded O.D. of screw) in a power drill, remove the board and hopefully there will be enough shaft remaining of screw to turn out with small vise grips/pliers.
