I successfully replaced the screen and digitizer, but before resealing the ipod, I dropped it–and the flex cable detached from the digitizer. (I don’t think it is ripped or damaged, just detached.) If I remove the plate again and take out the digitizer, can I just glue the flex cable to the digitizer, or does it insert or something? FYI, I never rewrapped the copper conductive tape over the digitizer. Should I have? Will it help? Thanks!
If the ribbon cable snapped off then your out of luck and will need a new screen
