iMac 24 2.8GHz Early 2008 I purchased a iMac 24" EMC2211 from a friend’s sister. The hard drive was bad and they had it removed, so I don’t have the original hard drive or the drive bracket. The machine comes on and the screen comes on and goes to the folder with a question mark and I can hear the dvd drive at startup as well. I also hear the bong so the sound works. I would like to install a new hard drive and use this machine for my kids. The problem is I don’t have any of the original discs or a backup, nothing. What do I need to do to get this thing going?
