i recently received an i pad air that has an activation lock on the device. I do not have contact with the previous owner and it has an activation lock on it. Can this lock be removed?
Unfortunately there is no way to remove the icloud lock. The original owner must log in and remove their account from the device.
Unfortunately, no. The only way to remove Activation Lock (iCloud Lock) is to enter the password. If you can’t contact the previous owner but bought via a site like eBay, you may have some recourse via their dispute mechanism.
