Hi, i am facing a problem with my PS4 i.e. while playing game PS4 stop receiving commands from the controller and then it executes all the commands at once which looks like game play is working on its own. Reason why i am suspecting that the problem is with PS4 bluetooth reception is that i have faced the same issue with two separate controllers where as both the controllers are working perfectly fine on an other PS4. looking forward to some great answers.

I am going to save all you a lot of money and headaches i had this problem and come to find out there is an antenna that runs to the bluetooth chip on the board that was unplugged, plugged it back and no more problems.

I’m having the same issue man, but on top of all that the paddle will disconnect and shut off. But then I can reconnect and it will play for about 5 maybe 10 minutes then repeats these issues :/ I need help myself…
Just buy the cronusmax and it will work with your ps4 controller.. it works great
and if not the bluetooth? I initializes the system and now I get a window that says, “to use this device connect it using a USB cable or register you again” but I press the PS button and does not work, in safe MODE if it works, but in no way will not then it could be a software problem, if someone has a control cable could prove whether this works in the selection window user selection or setup, or safe mode.
yes exactly u need to change bluetooth module whc is available in chine from i bought and it works fine . u can reball it or just make connection with wires

im having this same issue. im thinking about buying a third party controller example horipad or chip or a cronomax. i formatted my game. stuck at connect usb press homebutton setup screen. can someone try to bypass the setup using a third party device please

I currently have this problem as well, did everything I could so I was talking to Somebody in the Sony live chat website and they say that I’ll have to send it in for repair. Is there any other working option tho?
This is an old thread with many actual views so just for playing get the new ds4 controller the one that comes with ps4 slim or ps4 pro with the gray joysticks connect via USB to your ps4 and goto settings->devices->controller and set it to usb instead of Bluetooth. This option only appears when you connect the new controller. Audio and chat will not work with this mode. For chat and audio get an astro mixamp connect your headset and boom your ps4 is playable again.
I’f u have already taken the PlayStation apart id recommend looking at the antenna and see if that wire is soldered at both points because that’s the Bluetooth wireless transmitter and it has to have a gap u will notice when u see it. Just fixed my roommates for him he almost threw it away and bought a new PS4 lol. All you have to do is bend it back into the correct placement solver and re solder the wire to both points. Don’t be shy to expose more wire just be carful it’s a really thin hairlike wire

devonte im talking about thw setup screen. say u get a brand new system never playes it yet turns it on 1st thing they ask is to connect a controller and press the home button. the cronus didnt help u get pass that screen? if that fail well theres the horipad which is a usb controller if that fails i guess have to switch the bluetooth module chip in the system
