Chosen Solution

My Macbook Pro had a soda spilled on it about 6 months ago. At first I thought I had it cleaned up quickly enough that there wasn’t any damage. However, the right half of the keyboard seems to be developing “sticky” keys that is getting worse over time. Specifically, the space bar, right command key, i,o,p,j,k, and l keys are particularly troublesome. Is there any fix I can do at home without having to take it to Apple? The keyboard itself doesn’t seem to be user replaceable from what I can see. Thanks.

The best you can do here is to pop off the keycaps and using some distilled water and cotton swabs blot up the dried sugary drink (damp not wet). Hopefully that solves it, if not, its time to visit the Apple Store ;-{ Here’s a good vid on how to pop them: How to safely remove keycaps on Macbook Pro 2016 / 2017 (with or without Touch Bar)
