Chosen Solution
I recently purchased a used ps4 that has an issue with the eject sensor/button. The system reads and ejects discs just fine as long as I do it through the menu. So my issue is just the button or sensor. The power button and sensor work perfectly fine. Does it need a new button or could something be disconnected? Any help would be great!
You most likely have a model where the button is touch sensitive. In this case it’s usually either the metal spring that connects the eject button to the eject daughterboard is broken or bent. If it’s bent the wrong way you can bend it back so that it touches the eject board. If it’s broken though you’ll need to replace the bottom cover.
