Ive looked everywhere and the more i look the more confused i get, some specify models number fr the keyboard and its compatibility and im unable to find my keyboard models number. When i find the one that looks like the winner its usually not Backlit. please send me any further info to clarify this nightmare. Serial Number: C1MK5CC8DTY4
The confusion you are seeing is what the seller is selling you. There are two parts than make up the keyboard the keyboard and the backlight The Keyboard
The Keyboard Backlight Plate
Rarely do you need to replace the backlight plate. The keyboard backside is the clue if its the correct part note the gaps! This is what allows the light to light up the keys. If its solid then its not the correct part. Also note the key layout is different between the different keys layout, so make sure you get the correct one for your system.
