have several g4 computers that did have mac os 9.2.2 on them. upgraded HD without copy info. how to find generic startup software or how to load on erased computer
You won’t be able to load OS9 on a G4 as a stand alone. It only works as “classic” and is installed as a file with OS10. I am including Apples guide on which computers can run OS9. Ralph http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1835
another source other than ebay or amazon is weloveMacs.com some of the items are really expensive, BUT… if nothing else they have a very extensive listing of products and it’s a good resource to find some obscure, original stuff. you can also find original Apple part numbers (either hardware or software), including P/Ns for repair parts if you’re thrifty, you can do your research there and then shop around :)
