I spilled some coffee on my two weeks old MBP. It has dried and everything works, the only problem is that the keyboard backlight is strong just in the center of the keyboard (under TYUGHBN keys) and fades toward sides. I think that it’s caused by the coffee preventing the light from coming through the keyboard. Here is a similar problem described on an older model - Keyboard backlight only glows in center It seems to be necessary to remove and clean the layers of plastic placed between the keyboard and the backlight diods. I’ve purchased some tools from ifixit and will try to do it myself. Any hints and suggestions will be very much appreciated.
