Does anyone know how the volume flex is connected to the nfc charging pad?
Or instructions on how to disconnect or de solder it so a new volume flex cable can be replaced? I cannot find any info anywhere on the net how its connected or how to replace it.
Hello Tommy, The volume button flex has 2 connectors; one clips into place while the other is soldered onto the charging pad. If you can’t find any videos it usually means it’s easier to replace to whole assembly (volume flex + charging coil). With that said if you Really really want to have a go at it I’d recommend looking at iPad Mini 1 Charging port replacement. It’s basically the same idea.
