Hey guys, my A1181 stopped working from now to then. So I checked all voltages and stuff, everything was fine. The last try was the one I should have checked first: Just shortened the two pads on the board and voilá, everything is back. So how can I see what I should replace - just the cable or the whole topcase? My multimeter probes are too large for a continuity test on the cable. But at least it looks good :) Are there any tests I could do with the topcase or is there anything I can fix without totally damaging it? I see it is held together by just plastic “bolts” which would be destroyed. Am I correct? I did not see a Teardown of the Topcase revealing its power and data lines so I’m curious if this is even fixable. Cheers Jonas

I ordered another topcase from classifieds and it turned out that it was the flex cable! Weird as it wasnt moved so I would not have the idea that this cable can be worn out like the one for the inverter or similar which is moved oftn.
