Chosen Solution
Can anyone provide a good link to a video that can show be how to do this?
Since I don’t know what you have, I am making the assumption it was made in the past 5 years or so and uses a black case. You will need the following hardware: SSD (Your choice, but this is the drive I recommend).T10 Torx screwdriver (Case and chassis screws)Phillips #2 (hard drive screws)2.5"->3.5" adapter (Most older cases lack 2.5" provisions)SATA cable Once you have everything, the first thing to do is prepare the SSD. Put it in the 2.5->3.5" adapter now so you can put it in the system later. I’d plug in the SATA cable as well, if you can reach the port once the case is open. In order to access the drive on many of these systems the side panel uses a T10 Torx bit, which is where that T10 driver will come into play. Once you remove that the 2 screws that hold the drive caddy in (T10) need to be removed as well. Once you do that you can disconnect the cables and free up the drive. Put the SSD on the caddy in the drive cage with the coarse screws and the drive will be installed. Reverse disassembly and you can plug everything in. After you install the drive, you will need to install an OS and your drivers. I’m not making assumptions here since there’s too many variables.
