Hello , Gonna replace thermal paste on my iMac 27” late 2015 i7 4GHz 6700k ! How many gram thermal paste do I need? Is Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut (5,55 gram / 1,5ml) enough? Can I use this same paste for VRAM ? Thanks

5,55 grams is more than enough to do a three or so systems! Think it this way… If you where to take a single sheet of face tissue cut to size of the main chips now slightly wet each piece and roll each up into a tight ball thats how much TIM you need for each chip its not as much as you think! All you want is a very thin coating but we can’t paint the chips surface as you would likely capture air bubbles which we don’t want. The trick is to place this small ball blob of TIM in the middle allowing the pressure to spread the paste out. Practice using some toothpaste with some sheet glass so you can see the effect. The white VRAM chip paste is gapping paste as the height of the chips are at a lower level than the GPU and needs something to span the gap. The CPU/GPU chip TIM is designed for the small microscopic pits within the metal surfaces in a very thin coating. It is not designed to span a gap.

So no you can’t use the one TIM across the CPU/GPU’s and the VRAM chips.
