I couldn’t find a definitive answer, but I was wondering when using mobile hotspot on an iPhone, does it utilize the Wi-Fi antenna as the sender (since it disables Wi-Fi upon activating hotspot), or some sort of other antenna, chip, etc.? Thanks.
It uses existing wifi hardware.
