I painted the bezel with some paint, but after I finished I found that the bottom openings where the sound came out from the speakers and went into the mic were blocked. I think the paint must have dried in the meshes and clogged them. I have all the tools needed to open the phone and replacement meshes, but I couldn’t find a guide telling me where the meshes are located or how much of the iPhone I have to take apart to replace the meshes. Thanks!

You have to take everything down to the bezel so using the display guide or dock connector (linked under the photo) is probably the best one to get you there. Use a tool/screwdriver to push the old mesh out from the outside of the bezel towards inside the phone. it’s just a double sided adhesive not glue.

Don’t use a toothpick to press them out, you’ll damage them. Instead, using a heat gun to soften the glue holding the black plastic blocks above each one, then pry them out using an iPod opening tool. This way, you’ll be able to reuse them as well as the screens.
