How do I replace the old broken dock connector with a new dock connector, for iPod Touch 2nd Gen. http://www.parts4ipods.com/WebRoot/Store

Well, if you look at this tear down iPod Touch 2nd Generation Teardown step 12 and 13 gives you a close up. I suggest you take it apart to find out more.

You have to remove the logic board and then remove the dock connector by de-soldering the 30 pin connector. And also desolder the 2 side anchor points. And then reorder the new connector on.
