The display of my Compaq Presario CQ57 flicker when i boot up and it don’t stop. Some months ago this problem it appeared but in a minutes of waiting it dissappear, so how can i repair it without bring iot to a technical?
@dead44 could be a cable issue as well as a backlight issue. To repalce the LCD download the service manual from here. For whatever reson it downloads without extnison. Rename the file to a pdf extension and open it with a PDF reader. Page 69 of the manual tells you exactly what to do.
