I built a PC using an ASUS motherboard, more specifically b450m-a, but my pc doesn´t recieve any audio from my mic, neither from the back or the front of the case. I´ve tried every configuration, for example this https://www.howtogeek.com/395296/fix-my-… , but nothing… what should I do?

Hi OK the problem is the microphone jack is the wrong type for the computer. It is designed for combined headphone/microphone sockets like in mobile phones, i.e. 4 pin plug, not for separate sockets that are on the motherboard’s connector and on the front panel of the computer i.e. 3 pin plug The audio sockets on the motherboard back panel are two separate sockets, one for the speakers and one for the microphone. I don’t know what you have on the front panel as you didn’t say, but if it has two sockets (headphones and microphone) then it will be the same You need an adapter - example only that you plug the microphone into and then plug the adapter’s microphone plug into the computer microphone socket. This adapter converts the 4 wire plug into 2 x 3 wire plugs so that the microphone will be connected to the correct wires.
