Chosen Solution I recently replaced the Power button and Volume buttons cable (parts from ifixit) on my sister’s iPhone 5. After re-assembling, phone had a blank screen, but could faintly see a lighted dark screen, also you could tell the backlight was working and had no problem connecting to iTunes. Also, when charging makes “chime” sound every 5 seconds or so. Took back apart and noticed on the logic board under the tape where the LCD connects, there appears to be one or two components missing, my guess is these are filters....

Michel, that depends on how comfortable you are in taking small things apart. you can download the service manual from here. then you can see what the repair will involve. There is also a great guide on here the screen is not very expensive and available at places like this....

You need to replace the calculator unless you can get a new display and know how to use a hot bar machine to replace the display.
