He runs Bootcamp on his computer, and has both an OS X Leopard and Windows XP partition on his old drive. I tried to use both SuperDuper and Disk Utility to transfer over the XP partition; neither of them worked correctly. Chosen Solution Dropped it from about 3 ft onto cement, glass is cracked and screen will only display one single vertical line from top to bottom. My question is there a way to tell if just the LCD and digitizer needs to be replaced or is something on the motherboard messed up too? I think I’m handy enough to attempt a screen repair but don’t want to burn 100$ on a futile repair....

Chosen Solution I broke off the piece connected to the cable and it doesn’t look like its still in the ZIF Connector. Would it be repairable? Also I lost the piece. I actually don’t think you broke anything. The ZIF connector looks perfect. I’m wondering if the sticker which normally goes over the whole connector is hiding the cable end which is supposed to plug in here. I can still see the two notches which would be the parts that catch in the ZIF connector....

Chosen Solution My grandparents have a 5 month old Samsung fridge that stopped dispensing ice about 2 days ago. It still makes a whirring sound but doesn’t dump anything. We checked to make sure the “trap door” was opening, that’s not the problem. The ice maker compartment won’t open either. Chosen Solution HI All, I’m having an issue with the scren on an iphone 6s plus where the screen goes dark intermittently in the top right where the clock is located. This appears to occur when pressure is applied (pressing screen in normal use) in the top right close to where the speaker is located. A reboot resolves the issue until pressure is applied near that location again after reboot. I was wondering if someone could confirm if this would be a screen fault, or if it could be caused by a faulty connection as i’m aware that the connections for the screen are in that approximate location....

Chosen Solution My iphone 6s had some slight water damage a few weeks ago, and for the next 2 days the home button was giving me a lot of problems. My phone will be sleeping (the black screen) and without touching it or any movement whatsoever it wakes itself up, and sometimes will take itself to the “type your password” screen. Chosen Solution Hi! My Hard Drive crashed and I replaced it with a same brand, same capacity drive (Seagate 1TB). When I tried installing the OS from a Snow Leopard DVD, the optical drive would not boot from it. The optical drive had problems before, it wouldn’t burn cds or dvds and it would have problems reading dvds. I booted from internet recovery since my imac had Mountain Lion. I went ahead and formatted my new HD, as Mac Os journaled, and it worked but when I tried to restore the OS on my HD, it says I need to log in with the apple account used to install Mountain Lion....
