Chosen Solution Hey! I have an ASUS Q501la and am trying to replace the back cover of the LCD. While I was able to successfully pry most the LCD from the back cover (Shout out to Karl E for explaining how to pull the LCD away), to complete the job I need to remove the plastic hinge cover, which regretfully was not covered in Karl E’s explanation. After attempting to remove it myself, all I have succeeded in doing is breaking the clips on the right side of the hinge cover, and would like to avoid doing the same for the clips on the left side....

Chosen Solution Unfortunately, I had the unlucky disadvantage of dropping my A6000 right on the view finder during a wedding recording. (What are the chances?) If the iPod is flat with an aluminum bezel on the front, then you know it is a 1st generation model. If the shape is curved, it is either a 2nd or 3rd generation touch. Chosen Solution I replaced the charging port and it still wont charge. before the replacement I cleaned out the charging port with a q tip and a little isopropyl alcohol which made it so i could charge it only at a certin angle. any ideas? A phone that wont charge could be caused by multiple things: A defective battery. The iPhone 6S is well know to suffer from battery issues, perhaps your 6S Plus has a similar problem....

Chosen Solution Installed SSD recently and everything worked for a week. This morning, I was unable to power on the machine. Disassembled the machine and peeled back the EMI cover. The first LED light came on as soon as connected to the power source and both fans jittered. When the power button is pressed, the second LED came on and stayed on. However, nothing happens. The third LED light never come on....

Chosen Solution I recently replaced the battery in my Retina MacBook 2016 with the corresponding iFixit battery and kit. I followed the instructions to a tee. After finishing the replacement, the charging would flick on and off. It recharged to full a couple of times, but eventually stopped charging more than 75%…even though the iFixit battery was detected as new via coconutbattery. I did an SMC reset and it didn’t help....

Chosen Solution iPhone 5 suddenly developed the “Searching…” problem (no cell service, only wifi). After researching, I did a backup on iTunes, then restored all factory settings. Now, phone will not activate! Error message is “Could Not Activate iPhone because activation server is temporarily unavailable. Try connecting to iTunes or try again in a few minutes.” Have tried dozens of times through iTunes and wifi, even bought new SIM card, still SAME ERROR....

Chosen Solution Bought the phone that apparently had a problem with the volume buttons. Opened it and the water indicator from the logic board was red, although the one near the sim tray was white, so I assume partial water damage. I took it apart and washed the entire logic board with 99% isopropyl and installed a new upper component flex cable to replace the buttons. the problem is that after all, only the volume down button does not work, just like with the old flex cable, I don’t understand why....

Chosen Solution My iPod Touch 4th Gen will not enable. I forgot the password. How do I reset it without a computer? There is no way to do that, unfortunately. You have to put the iPod into DFU mode and then use a computer to restore it. I would suggest trying to find a buddy who will let you use their computer. To DFU the iPod, have it plugged into the computer, hold the lock and home buttons until the device shuts off, wait five seconds, and then release the lock button while still holding the home button....

Chosen Solution I got a iPhone 4 CDMA that I purchased not powering on. I was able to repair it but it is a password locked phone..After looking online for solutions i was told to restore it..Which I did and I had multiple update error codes like 3004 and 3194 After solving those by deleting the host file, i finally got through then i got the following “The iphone can not be restored, The device can not be found” and then i get another screen telling me that itunes can connect due to the password lock....

Chosen Solution I updated my windows from 32 to 64 bit. After I opened my laptop and started to install some windows I got a notification that told me that I had to restart my laptop, so I did it. It started as normal, the windows logo showed up, no errors, nothing wrong but I couldn’t see the desktop and I know why. For some reason my laptop thinks that it has 2 monitors (which I don’t) and so I think it is showing the fake monitor which has nothing, no background, no icons,no taskbar, only the mouse mouse....
