Chosen Solution A friend of mine has an early 2004 dual 2.5 PCI-X G5 and we were wondering if we could take off the LCU liquid cooling unit and swap it out for regular heatsinks. Understandable that the fans will run a little louder, but it will also preserve the logicboard and PSU from being zapped with coolant. Could this be accomplished and then re-calibrated with the AHT 2.5.8 CD? Update The answer to my question is yes....

Could I order the two OEM parts separately (digitizer, and LCD) and install the two parts together to fix the screen, thus making a potential break easier to repair in the future? Chosen Solution Hello! After completing a screen replacement the same way i’ve done >20 times before, it appears that this particular iPhone refuses to turn on. However, the screen is working because the battery with little red bars appears when you press the unlock button. It also detects whether or not it is connected to a charger, because when the charger is removed, the screen shows the ‘charger disconnected’ symbol. It has less charge than what is required to turn on the iPhone....

As soon as you plug the cable in it goes in recovery mode, so i restored it. After restoring it was caught in a bootloop (black… apple logo… black …applelogo). The iPhone 6S has a tendency to blow the BL circuit if you don’t disconnect the battery first....

Chosen Solution I have an iphone 7 that is stuck in a bootloop after screen replacement. Ive narrowed it down to the proximity/front camera/earpiece flex. When its disconnected phone powers up fine but when reconnected goes straight back into bootloop again. Have tried replacing flex cable twice with no luck so figure its a mainboard issue? Ideally, you have to try a known-good FCAM flex. Small parts can be hit or miss, especially for something as new as an iPhone 7....

Unspool a coat hanger and leave the end that looks like a cork screw alone straighten the rest of the coat hanger then run the coat hanger into the hose till you get to the sock the use the corkscrew end to bore into the sock and once it binds and wont turn any more pull it out...

Chosen Solution So iv got an ipad 4 thats had water damage and its stuck in headphone mode. Its not the flex as if I unplug the flex and restart the ipad it still thinks the heaphones are plugged in even though there isnt even a headphone flex plugged in. I do microsoldering repairs and have always wondered how the headphone detect actually works, as iv seen this issue on an ipod before too....
