Chosen Solution Which CPU upgrades are possible? I’m assuming it is not soldered onto the motherboard, because the article I read, said it could be done. Laptops & Tablets tend not to offer CPU chip upgrades as the thickness of the system would suffer with the added height of the socket. You might find a replacement logic board is an option if HP offered up a version with either more memory or a higher clocked CPU....

She was at 3%, I took the fast A/C charger that came with the phone, and plugged it into the 120V boat’s transformer… FWIW, I had been doing this all trip with no problems. The phone makes the charging noise, I lock the phone, I walk away. Three hours later, I come back, I see the red indicator light on (which I thought was strange, the phone charges in like half an hour usually)…....
Chosen Solution Hi, After replacing the charging port on my iPad Air 1st gen, this is the first time I run into this kind issue. When plugging in the iPad, it boots up, and shows the charging symbole and actually charges… BUT… if I disconnect the USB cable and reconnect it back, then it doesn’t charge. The only way I can get it to charge is if I shutdown the iPad, leave the cable plugged in, it will reboot on its own, and show the charging symbol again and will be charging....

Chosen Solution My iphone 6 has screen freezing problem and its out of guarantee. Gave it to a service centre named buzzmee in Bangalore India, and they found that the problem is with touch ic. They say the touch ic can be replaced but there is no guarantee whether the phone will work after that or not. Any advise here? I agree with Ben below… but the statement that they cannot guarantee the phone will work again would worry me about their experience....

Can anyone solve my problem? Nagendra, you can not increase the memory. The memory is an IC soldered to the logic board. Unless you can find a bigger memory IC that fits the BGA on the board identical, and you have to tools to reball, and your firmware will accept the higher memory, it is not possible for the DIY’er....

When installing the new logic board I reached the step 14 to remove the I/O board power cable from its socket. Unfortunately the socket broke off. Is there a way how to connect the cable with the logic board again? Maybe soldering the cables directly to their target pin?...

Chosen Solution hey guys, I have an iMac 2011 27 inch. The problem with this iMac is that the backlight only works on the lowest setting. If I increase the brightness the screen will go black, but the desktop is working because I can see it using a flashlight. The icons and desktop is visible with a flashlight. GPU is probably working. Using an external monitor does not have this issue....
