Chosen Solution Ultimately I was able to replace the HDD without any trouble. I could not identify where the stock SSD second drive was located, as nothing looked out of place. Bottom line to anyone in the same boat: Nothing was different enough that the iFixit directions couldn’t be performed just as written. I do not see an option for this set up on the 2011 machine, would you give is the serial number located on the bottom of the stand....

Peggy, a new video cable will not “fix both screens are now black” the video cable is only for the internal LCD and do not connect with an external monitor. It does sound like you are having issues with the GPU circuitry, your computer does not have a separate video card. Your video card is integrated onto the logic board. So in that case you would have to replace the mother board....

I have here Huawei matebook x pro i7/16gb.Laptop wont start only keys capslock and fn lights light up and fan start spin for 3 seconds bud light stay on. And power light just blinking.My steps what i done.- At first i see blown mosfet, ok i replaced it with new one (still dont help) - i am wondering what can couse the mosfet to blow- find lot of shorts on top site on the board (i think it is a shorted cpu but it is unlikely to be cpu it is rare)- and i dont know what to do next maybe someone can help me figure it up....
Chosen Solution Well, I was changing thermal paste and when I wanted to disconnect all connections from board I broke iSight Camera conector off logic board completely. iSight Camera cable is not damaged but connector is and I managed to pull off (as I pull upward) almost all pins from board. Here are the pictures of tragedy. Is there any chance to reatach connecor? Not good ;-{ You did manage to rip off the copper traces for a few of the lines....
Chosen Solution What happened was that i was making a mobile charger myself to check my charger i plug it with jawbone. It light up for few second and then light goes off when i check my usb charger with voltage meter it gave about 14 volt throughput to jawbone in the end now my big jambox jawbone is neither turned on nor charge i checked everything in my jawbone but found nothing wrong i am very worried...

Remember that you will lose all saved data. Power the tablet down completely, and then hold both the volume up button and the power button until the RCA logo appears on the screen. Chosen Solution After replacing my screen my phone won’t power on and when I plug it in the phone just vibrates but won’t power I tested the screen on another iPhone and it works well. Is it possible I’m connecting something wrong or shorting the phone it has happened twice while replacing the screen. Chosen Solution I was trying to repair my screen and stripped the screw on the metal plate next to the battery which holds down the ribbon cables I then tried to pry it to loosen it and nd it snapped taking leaving a tiny holeI continued with the repair and the phone operates normally the exception being that the home button is no longer functioning . My concern is could this cause issues further down the line I left the screw which like I said I pried off inside the metal plate and after finishing the repair proceded to screw in the surrounding 3 screws like I said it functions normally just wondering if it could cause issues further down the line...
Chosen Solution I may know the answer but I haven’t given up, geeks can repair it all. What I really want to recover from my iPad is my photos, lots of photos of my son and from trips with him. I’ve already lost enough of those over the years because of broken down devices… So my iPad Mini was plugged to an USB extension, it started to fail, my guess is it was a power surge and in the blink of an eye the iPad shut down, no burnt smell or anything but I couldn’t make it work after that....
Chosen Solution Ifixit screen and digitizer replacement sometimes does not respond to touch. Morning friend, When you did the replacement did you verify that you put the proper screws in place? I strongly encourage to open the unit again and reinspect your work. Follow the guide here take note of the screws, disconnect the battery, reseat the cables to ensure they are seated properly, and try again. If that does not work, there could be an issue with the part....
Chosen Solution I just installed a ifixit battery i purchased off amazon into a macbook air 2017. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07QPFD2TJ?psc… It showed sold and shipped by ifixit so im assuming i got a good one. I did the calibration instructions when i installed it and it seemed to be working great and had good run time. Couldn’t connect to my cell network. I tried resetting network settings, ejecting SIM card, restarting phone, hard reset on phone. Got the cable, replaced it, restarted phone a couple of times, and service was back, GPS came back....
