I desoldered the two shields near the bottom of the motherboard (the liquid didn’t get past the bottom of the motherboard, all the upper part of the board has no trace of liquid spill) and no oxydation was found under the shields....

If the phone doesn’t power on, but battery and charge port are known good, you could have an issue with one of the other parts. I would try turning it on with the minimum number of parts connected....

But that only means the connector is no longer compliant in some way, actually it still works good enough well beyond that if you handle it with care. It depends on how gentle and precise is the hand doing the job, Some people manage to mess the connector with just one replacement by deforming the plastic part to force push it in place....

When I mess with the volume with the headphones in it you can hear a little fuzzing noise like if you turn a radio up without any music playing. Any Ideas? Update its just over three years old. used it every day and the sound just quit working in the headphones. Will the thermal sensor currently installed having any issues determining the hard drive temperature? Will it cause the fan hard drive fan to run at max speeds? From what I understand, the thermal sensor issue reared it’s head with the 2008 or 2009 models. I think I should be safe. But, I would like some confirmation from someone who knows....
