The design of this type of touchscreen means that they should always be right. If yours is not working properly the touchscreen is faulty and needs to be replaced as there is no adjustment available.

Lint/dust/debri can get lodged in the port, not allowing the connector to make good connection, use tooth pick to try and clean jack out and then retry mic.. 1st link below is a tear down guide which can get you inside the control/mic to see if there is ant evident wires off or damage that you may be able to repair....

I already had the simple disassembly done and tried to swap out the parts, but there’s a small circuit board riveted to the old assembly AND the actual switch is also riveted. So somehow I must un-rivet the circuit board from the old assembly (without damaging it) and attach it to the new one....

You can order the glass with digi but expensive machinery and training would be required to reconnect the new digitizer....

I checked out eBay and found a logic board (pre owned ) for around 25$, but it was icloud locked. WillI be able to use it in my project?? It depends on what your project is, but there’s not much you can do with an icloud locked board, you’ll be able to check if it’s charging the battery, if screen and wifi work but that’s about it, not being able to pass the activation lock you won’t have access to any other function of the iPhone....
