Chosen Solution I shorted out my usb port by plugging in a cord with a short. My laptop shut off and wouldn’t power up. Unplug power supply and all peripherals, remove battery, and hold down the power button for ten seconds. Replace battery, and plug in power supply. Power up. Worked for me too!! ASUS ROG GL553

Chosen Solution I have ordered (and received) the Tri-Point Y000 bits for the iPhone 7/7 Plus and I have found that they are too big. Has anyone had luck with these bits on the iPhone 7 or 7 Plus? Feeling like I wasted my money. What is needed is a Y0000 bit. Any chance that iFixit has these available? I cannot locate them in their tool list. I’ve used the Y000 bit pretty extensively on the 7 Plus, and it’s the same bit that we used for all our guides and teardowns for both phones....

Chosen Solution Purchased an iPad 6 in a partial state of repair, and it’s missing the four #00 4.3mm screws holding down the LCD, one #000 2.3mm for the battery connector, and three #000 1.4mm screws for the display bracket. I have been searching for hours online for a screw set and I totally can’t find it for the 6 or 5, and earlier models don’t have the right screws. Chosen Solution I’ve got the HP Pavillion Wave 600-a014. I keep having video graphic failures and re-installing the driver doesn’t help. Chosen Solution Do you know how to drain you battery with a white screen someone help please!! Preform a hard reset and it usually fixes this issue. Hold Sleep/Wake button down and home, for 10 secs then release sleep/wake and continue to hold the down and home button. To drain the battery simply keep hitting the sleep/wake button until it stops…..really do no think there is a faster safer way to do it....

Chosen Solution iPhone 7 cannot connect to cellular. I have had it to my carrier and we determined it was a hardware issue. I replaced the left upper antenna and it worked great for the last five days and then returned to the, “Cellular Connection Failure,” fault. Chosen Solution I believe my passport was unplugged from my Windows computer without going thru the proper logging off procedures so now I cannot access my data. My computer will hang up at times. Other times i will be able to see the drive and the main folders that are on the external drive but I cannot access. What can I do to get my data back? Chosen Solution So recently, i think my phone has obtained the ‘touch disease’. I purchased a new phone screen and it started working again until it would randomly stop responding to touch unless I pressed down on the screen. I found this video on YouTube for a somewhat simple solution by placing adhesive tape over the two IC chips in the motherboard. It worked for a short while until it started to lost the touch again and I would have to gently press down on the phone screen to regain touch (which I believe is not safe, I know)....

Chosen Solution The USB port on the back of the mic seems to be glued with some sort of red cement. To the touch this glue is hard but rubbery. I’m pretty sure it’s only touching 2 metal parts (the port casing and the thin hexagonal nut) but it might be touching the plastic usb port. What is recommended to remove this glue? or is there another way to approach this problem and remove the port?...
