Chosen Solution Can anyone help me identify where short circuits on a logic board are? I am speaking in general terms to help fix water damage when cleaning alone does not help. I have seen some people use Oscilloscopes. Chosen Solution So stupidly I thought I’d charge my phone on the kitchen lighting driver hub. It now doesn’t work at all. I’ve tried booting with volume and power buttons and also factory reset button combinations…nothing. It won’t charge at all. It’s dead. I’ve tried replacing the battery, still nothing. What is likely to be wrong? Is it repairable? It’s hard to say if it’s repairable but by the sounds of it you may have board level damage....

Chosen Solution I have a similar issue, bought am LTE GS6 direct from Samsung (Model number SM-G925W8, Carrier: Bell Canada) and I desperately need to replace the USB Daughter Board and maybe the battery. the cost is more than reasonable and I’m more than willing to do it myself, but I’m having issues figuring out if the parts on ifixit.com are compatible. He connected entirely the whole strip (around 5 m) and he connected it to the IN connection, and the energy cable to the OUT connection of the supply, when it was intended that the strip should be connected to the OUT, and the energy cable to the OUT. Chosen Solution I have iphone is dead not booting up. I plug in dc power supply it 0amp and after push power on it show dc power supply 0.9amp. It maybe have short line in motherboard. What line is probably short? Of course vcc_main not short. What line is caused it make the phone not booting up? There are so many potential issues that could cause a “dead phone”. It just clicks and fails to spin up. the hard drive must slide out, and there is a tab that swings out of the way, but the case enclosure is in the way. Chosen Solution The tablet will not charge. I can see that one of the pins in the power port is bent. How do I fix this? JR, avoid damage and perform the repair with battery out and power drained. try straightening pin with small/thin tweezers, small slotted screw driver, tooth pick.
