You will need to replace the home button and lose the touch id functionality. It is possible to fix by splicing the cable back together, but that’s expert level. I doubt if you can find anyone near your location to do that. If you replace the button, you kill Touch ID forever....

If that does not work you maybe dealing with an an ATA password which then it is possible that the info is stored on the hard drive itself....

After almost two years the adhesive that holds the screen in place has worn out I guess. Long story short my display is un-sticking from the shell of the laptop a little bit more everyday. Depending on the model you have, this chip or the sound circuit in general could be on the main board (you need a board level repair tech to trouble shoot it and fix it) or on a smaller side board called also “in/out board” which is replaceable at an acceptable cost....

Chosen Solution I have an iPhone 6 that’s being very picky with chargers. I have one OEM Apple lightning connector that charges the phone fine. However, it refuses to charge when connected to anything not OEM. We’ve tried 3 aftermarket chargers and the phone will not even show the red battery on the screen. The port on the iPhone 6 port is cleaned and free from lint and debris. The same aftermarket chargers work fine on my 7 Plus so the chargers are not broken....

I bought another one 6s and put home button from new to old 6s and home button worked but touch id not working. Any ideas?
