You should be able to find most, if not all of them on GSM Forum. Also, UnionRepair is selling them at a reasonable cost but I’m pretty certain they are the same versions you can find freely on the web....

With the update it depends on how old it is, I am unsure of when the ipod touch 4th gen came out, but if it is too old you will be unable to update (Essentially a way for apple to con you into buying a new one). If there is no option to update in settings or in itunes when plugged into a computer then it is likely you cannot upgrade....

Chosen Solution I have a iPhone 4s that had a very brief water incident and since then will not take a charge. I have tried different cables/chargers all the obvious. I have been able to take a battery out of a fully functional 4s and swap the battery with the troubled 4s. The battery from the troubled phone works properly and charges fine in the other phone and the phone that wont take a charge operates flawlessly when I put in a charged battery....

Chosen Solution I replaced my broken iPhone 5 screen and the screen was black, so I put the old broken one back which worked as before. I ordered another screen and when it arrived, I put that one in and that one is black also. I put the old broken screen back in, and that works. I have no idea what to do. Both of the new “bad” screens kind of look like change from a deep black to a bit lighter black when I push the power button, but it is so slight, it is hard to even notice....

Chosen Solution Slightly water damaged iphone 6 totally dead. removed the logic board, all the shields, & cleaned in ultrasonic solution branson EC, … Found no shorts anywhere( vcc main, pp_cpu, pp_gpu, var, sdram, …). Chosen Solution No power backing up its like its not engaging Check your belts to your pump a sloppy belt shows up in revers before forward but as it gets worse you’ll notice it going forward. You may also want to check you fluid level in the hydrostatic reservoir. Hope this helps

When I went to the Apple Service Center, they told me that I needed to exchange it for the main board. Should I change main board in Service Center? Or Can I repair myself? If you have to ask the question, then no, you cannot repair the logic board yourself ;>). You could either choose to have Apple replace your device or find a repair shop that does micro-soldering repairs....

Chosen Solution So I replaced a battery for a client of mine. after that she came back (after about 3 weeks). The screen clicks by itself. From what I know a battery replacement should not do this to a phone, anyone know of a solution?
