Anything else is usually very subjective and easily can lead to spamming. As for can you do this yourself? Absolutely. Chosen Solution Upon pressing start button, no chime, just a continuous almost-white noise, I can feel the fan running air out the back, and thats as far as it goes, if I close the lid fan continues to run. Have tried changing hard drive thought it may have packed up. Thanks for any advice. First remove the battery and AC adapter. Press the start button for five seconds. Replace the AC adapter and give it a try....

Chosen Solution I got an iMac 21.5 inch late 2015 non retina model and was wondering if it was possible to upgrade the screen to Retina display or are the plugs and ports different? Nope. Even if the board connectors match (go over the tear-downs that iFixit has for both models), video/graphic controllers on the board would be completely different for Retina vs. non-Retina. AND since the screen and glass are fused, the screen assemblies are very expensive....

Chosen Solution This beautiful Intel based iMac 20” early 2009 at startup jumps to a blue screen with a lot of visual noise (just for a second) and then turns black and stays black. I’ve checked the screen for image with a flashlight, no signs of a faint image. I’ve disconnected all LCD cables (except for the temperature otherwise fans go crazy), hooked up an external screen through DP and the DELL external screen shows perfectly clear image....

Chosen Solution There is gas, the starter is fine, the battery is good. It doesn’t matter what temperature the engine is or how long between starts but if I rev up the engine while cranking it starts okay. Rarely I have to rev at stops or the idle drops too low and stalls. If I punch the gas very quickly it revs and drops quickly and then stalls. Starting has a success rate of about 50% without revving....

Chosen Solution I hadn’t used the tablet for a while, now it is not recognized by the computer (desktop). Last time I used it, the pen was sometimes erratic, but I could get pen and tablet to work. I have not made change to drivers, but I will maybe try that now. I have tried re-calibrating (per internet instructions). I have tried stopping and starting the processes thru the ‘manage’ command (computer management), all to no avail....

Chosen Solution This bottom freezer GE I bought in 2015. How can I put it in diagnostic mode? Model# is PWE23KSDESS. Freezer is working, but was too cold at -16 degrees. Fresh food compartment not cooling, was about 65 degrees. I did some disassembling and found coils just on top of freezer but behind lower part of fresh food compartment are covered with ice. Also found a fan there. I suspect that fan is not working....

Chosen Solution Hi, I bent a few prongs while checking my memory. One slot was already dead, and now the whole computer is. It does “start”, but just beeps, and the white light blinks, no screen. I tried to pull the prongs outward, but I guess they just aren’t making contact. Does anyone even sell this “part”, or is built into the board ? Chosen Solution I disconnected my LCD screen on accident without removing the battery. I smelt a burnt fuse smell. When I use my new LCD screen there is no backlight. I checked the fuse with the small dot on it, and it looks intact. Do I need to replace the fuse regardless? Do I need board repair? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you for your time! Chosen Solution My phone fell face down. the screen worked fine, but the power button wouldn’t work. I could only turn the phone on and off by using the screen. I tried to take the battery out so it would turn off all the way, but now it won’t turn back on. When it impacted the ground it could have severed the cable going to the power button. You will have to replace that if you want to fix the powering off problem....

Chosen Solution It used to die on me ever so often so I replaced the battery. Drove good for a bit and the same thing started happening. If I jumped the car it would start right up until the other day. I’ve now changed the starter and the entire ignition switch, ignition housing and ignition but it just clicks. Have you checked the see if the alternator is charging. If you put in a new battery and it runs for a few days and the same thing happens again it sounds like the alternator is not charging....

It is the one going to the timing control board from the main board. The model number would be very helpful. The earlier vintages used a cable made made up from twisted pares, similar to a cat5 cable, and gave lots of problems....
