Chosen Solution Hi, I’ve been fighting a tough battle with a Macbook Pro 2011 which I am attempting to resurrect after a bulging battery caused it to be cast aside. I’ve seen a few related questions but none seem to replicate the strange combination of properties exhibited by this machine. I’d love to hear what you know about problems of this nature and suggest things for me to try. I’ve outlined the problem below and what I have done to diagnose it so far....

Chosen Solution How can i change the iMac processor? and where is the processor located? I am thinking of upgrading the current core2duo 3.33GHz to a Quadcore processor. can that be done? One problem with this is the 21.5" iMac has a 1066MHz system bus, and the better C2D processors are 1333MHz bus speeds. If you stuck a Core 2 Quad chip in the iMac, it would probably revert down to the 1066MHz bus speed, which would significantly reduce the overall clock speed of the new processor....

Chosen Solution i broke of MMBT3904LP-7 DFN1006-3 but i dont know what the component does, the macbok does still work That’s a diode on the line that seems to be carrying thermal info from CPU to SMC. Although the Mac may boot without it, it would be a very good idea to replace it and avoid running the machine without it to avoid possible more serious damage.

Chosen Solution after replacing the rear case and front panel, Although it did not charging, I felt that electricity flows in hand while touching the screen. in addition, Connect the battery on the logic board and grab a rear case, a feeling tingling hands. Why electricity is flowing on the screen and rear case? Please help me, I really appreciate it. I would start by checking the battery, battery connector, and see if they are damaged in any way that can cause them to make unwanted contact (short) with the board and/or back of the screen and/or back-case of the iPhone (especially near the bottom of the iPhone where the charging dock is located, and top of the screen where you have a piece of copper attached to the screen)....

Chosen Solution I have tried and tried but cannot get any of the 6 side screws out of the display assembly on my iphone 6s. The rest of the screws in the phone all came out quite easily but I can’t get any of these ones to budge at all. Any ideas on how to make it easier for these screws to come out? He’s got the crappy bag of tools that comes with a Chinese parts order....

Chosen Solution My laptop has been abused over the past 5 years. I really love the laptop, other than the extreme weight. I have put off getting this hunk repaired for far too long. I was wondering if there is a way to take it to a store or send it somewhere to get it looked at and see if it is able to be saved to near new capacity, or just beyond repair and not worth it....

Chosen Solution So what happened was I spilled water on my MacBook Pro I then started cleaning it up and removed all the water I could possibly get out of it and let it dry for a few hours. When I plugged in the charger it was charging showing an orange light I then tried to turn it on and it turned on successfully but unfortunately it seems that the hard drive got damaged and I lost all my data and I was stupid to not back it up and all my homework, assignments for my exam next week got lost (fml), but the weird thing is that it keeps turning on and off by itself now, the hard drive is damaged so nothing really boots up besides it showing there isn’t a Hard drive, how can I make it stop booting by itself WITHOUT having to take out the battery?...

Chosen Solution Hello, i need install an SSD Disk 3.5" in my Mac Pro Early 2009 (Xeon Nehalem) Use one of these to convert your 2.5" SSD (if it is 2.5") into a 3.5" and then depending on your model, follow the instructions that apple gives to replace the HDD with a SSD or just add it on. Then install OS X on it so it will boot up from the SSD and no tthe HDD....

Chosen Solution When I ran a driver update on my laptop I needed to update many drivers. All but 1 updated fine. The one driver that did not update was the Intel Centrino Ultimate-N 6300 AGN… During the process a box popped up like I was supposed to type something in the box? It kept waiting for some type of prompt. Is this Intel Wireless LAN driver necessary to update on this model?...

Chosen Solution Hi Everyone I’ve got an iPad 4 sitting here which i’d like to try and get working again. It was brought to me and simply wouldn’t turn on. No drops or liquid damage , never been opened. I’ve cracked it open and replaced the charging port. Still no good! I’ve also got a spare iPad 3/4 battery (which I believe is compatible? Chosen Solution Hi, I have an Iphone 5 (A1429) that randomly went into dfu mode… I wasn’t able to get out of DFU nor do a restore (itunes would hang on “waiting for device”). After charging the battery for a night (it gots charge now, checked it with voltmeter) i got it to a stage where it is dispaying the itunes logo with usb cable (recovery mode) but i can’t get out of that either (tried holding home and power for 10 sec, restarts and goes back into the same recovery mode) if i connect it to Itunes now, i get it to actually starting to restore but 10 seconds after the status bar displays on both my laptop and iphone, itunes stops with error 14....

It came back with having no touch response most of the time, so I told him we would replace the screen again. Upon replacing the screen again, the phone does not turn on now. If it is plugged in, it might flicker on here and there, but it is only for a split second before powering down again....

Chosen Solution I recently replaced my battery as my phone got a little damp I immediately powered the phone off once it got wet to safe it. When I came home I popped it open and dryer it off with a paper towel. The Apple logo appeared but then immediately shut off and the phone was unresponsive. I bought a battery replacement off eBay and installed it. The phone now is stuck in a continuous boot loop....
