Chosen Solution I replaced the screen on my wifes iphone 5s after replacing the screen when plugged in it says it is charging but the battery power isn’t going up. If I unclip the screen from the case (with the 2 screws removed and using a suction cup) and plug inthe charger the phone charges no problem with the bottom at the home button just slightly raised and the top of the screen where it should be....
Chosen Solution I replaced the battery in my iPhone 6S. After doing so, it turned on and appeared to work normally for about a day, after which the backlight went out and the screen went dark. I have found that if I open it, and disconnect/reconnect the battery, the backlight will come back on for a short time (10 - 15 min), but then go back out again. It is a communication error between the eeprom baseband memory and the modem during restore. It will be either a cracked ball on the modem or a damaged eeprom memory. A reflow of the modem may get it through the restore process but is a short term fix....

Chosen Solution I have moved the question here on the suggestion of the moderator: I spent most of the day yesterday replacing the 25 1800 uF and 1000 uF capacitors on my mother’s old A1058 iMac G5, trying to resurrect it. 6 of the capacitors had obviously bulging capacitors. Before the replacement, LED 1 would light up, then LED 2 would briefly light and go out. Now LED 2 lights up solid, but LED 3 doesn’t light up....

Chosen Solution I bought an Acer Iconia one 10 returned it within a week as it was shutting down and the screen would freeze, I got another, however this one is also shutting down the screen goes black it is brand new so it doesn’t have many apps on it except what it came with….. While normally I would encourage self-repair, in this case I would suggest that if the iPhone is still under warranty (and it should be, barring any water damage), you’re probably best off not voiding your warranty by opening up the device just yet....
