Chosen Solution I replaced the battery in an iPad 2, and because I broke the power button cable in the process, that too. The screen worked fine after the button cable replacement, but I didn’t plug the cable into the board right so they didn’t work. I took the iPad back apart and re-seated the cable. Now the screen doesn’t work. My computer recognizes it just fine. I checked both ends of the screen’s cable to make sure they weren’t damaged and that they were seated properly....

Chosen Solution Good morning, I replaced the tuch on a ipad air (full touch home button) .. but no longer works the wake sleep mode with the smart cover .. do not understand what may be the problem .. where is the sensor? The sensor is the chips on the home button cable. Compare it to the old screen with the home button on it and you should see that one does not have the components on there....

So I have an iPhone 5s, basically Some months ago I left it locked and then it died because of low charge, long story short, months later, it’s now dead, not charging, not heating up, no low battery logo, no apple logo, nothing, the home button wasn’t very responsive when it was alive so it’s a little difficult to do the reset trick, I opened it and something that gave me some hope is that I can hear a very faint and fast clicking noise coming from the motherboard when plugged in, is there any hope for this phone or is it long dead?...

Chosen Solution Hey guys, I have just replaced proximity/front facing camera flex but not phone does not go further then apple logo. But if I disconnect proximity/front facing camera flex it boots just fine. I have tried home+power but the problem remains. Is it bad proximity/front facing camera flex? Try a new from camera cable and see if that works. These are often defective and can be damaged easily. Was this the original one or a replacement?...

Chosen Solution I’ve posted another topic for water damaged phone here, and i removed the cause of the issue, so it was solved. The home button connector was oxidized i cleaned it up and it was fine, the phone was working after that, the board was all clean. I recharged the phone with QC anker adapter, because i don’t have the original one. (Maybe a PMU gone bad because of that?...

Chosen Solution Logic board at Ifixit are branded AT&T, Sprint etc. Can I just replace bad logic board of iphone 6 being used in Japan? As far as I know the iPhone 6 shouldn’t have different hardware versions for country areas as some earlier/later models. However before buying I’d post a question through to iFixit, let the seller take care of it, you’re already putting in the money ;)

Chosen Solution Hi guys, I got an iPhone 6 Plus here. When connected to power supply, the phone appears working (it charges fine, the readings of Amps in power supply shows that the phone is starting up normally). However, the phone has no display, no backlight. I checked the chestnut circuit, 6V was detected on PP6V0_LCM_BOOST, however, all 5.7V and -5.7V are missing on PN5V7_SAGE_AVDDN, PP5V7_SAGE_AVDDH, and PP5V7_LCM_AVDDH. It looks like the chestnut is not working properly....

Chosen Solution Just today i got an iPhone 6 from a friend. The phone screen is completely off with no way to get it on. However, the phone is able to turn on. The phone vibrates when muting it, it plays sound & vibrates when charging, it vibrates when booting up, and it can be detected fine by iTunes. However even after rebooting the screen is still completely dead. I thought this would be an easy screen replacement, but even after changing the screen and the battery, the phone screen still doesn’t light up....

Chosen Solution Hye i got an IPhone 6 sent in to me for repair. It stuck on Itunes logo and when I do recovery it showing Error -1. Before this the phone having a NO SERVICE issue, and then when the customer do recovery on itunes, it begin to stuck on itunes logo. When I hunt around the baseband area through microscope, I see two caps are missing (C4103/C4104) . I believe that this two caps are responsible for WTR_TX_OUT line....

The phone still connects to my Mac and I can answer calls (since I know where the slider is), so I think the digitizer still works. When repairing my phone, do I only need the 3G display? Are there other parts I should consider buying? Thanks! I would first try to reset the iPhone - press and hold the home button and the power button at the same time until the iPhone restarts - if you’re lucky - it will work again....

Chosen Solution I allowed my iPhone to update to iOS 12.1 but was unaware that the new software would not sync with my MacBook, which is running El Capitan. I cannot run newer than this on the book so I need to take my phone back to an older iOS. I can’t see how I can run a factory reset as iTunes doesn’t see the phone anymore. Chosen Solution I bought some artic mx4 for my switch lite and I don’t really know what method of applying thermal paste I should use on it or exactly how. I am still trying to learn to take apart devices. First you will need a good small spatula. Make sure you have cleaned and dried the surface throughly. Put a small blob of the paste on the area and use the spatula to spread out to the edges, making sure it’s a covering the surface as even as possible....
