Chosen Solution I have a iPad 4 to work on, the digitizer has already been replaced. The problem is, the iPad shows the red empty battery with the lightning cable at the bottom. Even when it is plugged, it still ask to plug the device to charge it. I tried to go into recovery mode on iTunes and it won’t work at all, iTunes won’t recognize the iPad. Anyone has an idea what could the problem be, I would like to try everything possible before needing to remove the digitizer....

Chosen Solution Hi I need help please with my iphone 7. Im getting all audio through the earpiece even when I put the speaker on during a call. I have replced the speaker with a know working one and still the same issue. Any ideas please? Probably it’s a “typical” Audio IC failure, usually caused by iPhone bumping and /or flexing. Most times, audio related problem are caused by that chip and/or underlying rails that need to be rebuilt....

Chosen Solution have taken iphone apart, cleaned everything, reassembled but we’re still stuck on apple screen and only when plugged in to mains. This is a phone with no history so I’m assuming water damage. How do I seperate the 2 halves of the motherboard/logic board to look at the insides see whats what? you can’t do that!! measure the voltage of the battery! and of course - chen the nand flash - i received a fluid damaged 3g with “burned” nand connections (the 8gb has 2x 4gb modules - they are soldered together and 12 of those solderings are gone) EDIT well, you almost gave me a heart attack....

Chosen Solution I replaced the rear housing of the phone and it’s now getting really hot when I turn it on. The voltmeter keeps changing when I’m measuring the poles where the battery goes in from 4V to 0.4V. I’ve also replaced the power button but unplugged that and got the same result. The phone turns on after taking ages to charge but shows the home screen while the CPU gets really hot....

How old is the laptop? If it is less than 12 months old by opening the laptop you may be voiding the manufacturer’s warranty....

Chosen Solution Trading in above and want to remove the hard drive first…where is it and how do I do it? Thanks oldturkey…guess I meant memory. Saw a TV program where old printers were “fixed” and much personal info of previous owner was on them so I assumed they meant hard drive. Memory is fluid and there is no long term storage there, right? Chosen Solution Does anyone recognise this bit. It’s black rubber/silicon Hi Simon This little rubber piece came from the screen assembly. It helps to align the Ambient Light Sensor attached to the Front Camera flex cable. Not at all required for normal function of the iPhone.

Chosen Solution So to close this off, I managed to fix the iMac but there were two separate problems. The first problem, LED 2,3 were green, but not the others, was solved by reseating the RAM. I then tested using the display before seating the parts back in place, but when I put the display back after everything was screwed in, LEDs 1,2,3,5 lit up, there was no backlight but I could use an external monitor and see the apple logo in the display when I shone my camera flashlight on it....

Actually, I need to replace my current upper case with the one from ‘iFixit’ but the only problem is that it doesn’t fit because it is designed for an English keyboard only!! So, is there a chance to buy one which fits an Arabic keyboard instead? Thank you As far as I know, the Arabic keyboards have the same layout as the UK keyboard....

I tried to restore but when it’s in recovery mode, it won’connect at all to computer or even charge. But after a couple of rebooting itself, it can charge again. Always like that.
