Chosen Solution So, my wife’s 2012 13" macbook pro has been on the auto update schedule with Mac and is currently running High Sierra. She has 4 gig ram and and a 500 gig mechanical hard drive and the thing is struggling. I’ve ordered a 250 gig SSD from OWC and a ram upgrade, too (2x8 GB). I’ve done other similar upgrades and repairs to macbooks before so I’m not worried about the mechanical aspects....

Chosen Solution I currently have the PowerPort 2 from Anker, and the plugs are loose. I have to move the charger before the it can charge my devices. Does anyone know how to open this? I haven’t found anything online but I suspect that it is a clamshell type design, glued together something like this. You should see a seam all around the charger. Take a sharp utility knife and start to cut through it and eventually you should be able to pry it open....

Chosen Solution There is little one can do to fix a dead or always engaged pixel. I would bring the system into Apple if it’s still under warranty. They should swap out your system (or display unit). Even if the warranty has expired you might be able to get them to fix it. You might need to demonstrate your need for a perfect display as it’s not uncommon for a few pixels to drop out over time....

Chosen Solution i have a black iphone se that had water damage and wouldnt turn on so i opened it up and let the motherboard dry out and i roughly put everything together and it was able to work again so i decided to reformat with itunes and when it installs it stops mid way with an error 28 can someone help me please With water damage, you have to fully decontaminate the logic board before doing anything else, otherwise there will be latent issues down the road....

When I turn it on and shine a flashlight on the screen I get a faint picture, I tested every pin on both the power supply and inverter board and am getting 12 volts everywhere. However, that is not the same as water proof. Chosen Solution My SSD died. I got an SSHD (firecuda). I used the cammand r to download masOS high sierra. When i choose the drive to install it and click continue i get “permission denied”. I formatted it to Extended (journaled). It has another portion that is like 2.2GBs (something like that). How do i fixe the problem?
