Chosen Solution Hey Thanks for checking out my post! I have a Late 2009 27" iMac here that had a bad GPU- showing the purple lines on the screen. We sent out the GPU to a repair center who replaced the Graphics Chip. I reinstalled the GPU Board with new Thermal Pastes- one for the GPU and another non conductive for the remaining contacts- K5 and K4 Pro. The iMac only boots into Safe mode and no longer has the purple lines like it once had....

Chosen Solution Apple iMac 2011 EMC 2429 I have a 2011 27" iMac. It crashed an all I saw was the flashing folder with the ?. Put it in target disk mode and connected it to a brand new iMac. Opened using disk utility and saw that the drive was failing. Purchased and installed a new hard drive and got it running again by installing El Capitan via Target Disk mode(so I could use it as a 2nd monitor for my new Mac), but then the fan started to run all the time and I realized the new hard drive didn’t have the thermo sensor, so ordered the cable adapter....

Chosen Solution I just replaced the screen on my iPhone 5s, Screen works fine however, the Home Button isn’t clicking properly. It works but its not making that clicking noise and it feels different. Its not the way its seated in the chassis, (I know this because I have the same problem even with the the front assembly disconnected from the frame). I’m not sure what the issue is here or how to fix it....

If you do it may work but it will probably cause problems because the components are designed for 6V working and as you don’t know their tolerance you have to assume that they will fail with the extra voltage (nearly 25% more) being supplied to them. If not the voltage, then the extra voltage will definitely cause more current to flow in the circuit, which again will cause problems as it can then “burn” out components....
