Chosen Solution Hello. So I have my 2009 MBP 17" here and it needs repair. However, it’s sitting here dead. I still have it but I never repaired it yet. The reason for this is it’s 6 years old and I really cannot buy the parts I need. I’ve mentioned this before too. Since I clearly can’t find 2009 parts that easily(and even if I could they’re still well loved or cost more then another 2009) I have a better idea....

Chosen Solution My display is intermittently not lighting usually after waking from deep sleep and seems to be getting worse. I’ve isolated it to the monitor not the video card. Apple wants ~$800 to repair it but I can find displays on eBay for $100-300, some with destroyed cases. If I purchase one of these how do I install it in my current housing? Chosen Solution Did I mess up the connection to the inverter? The screen looks great for about 2 seconds at start up, after waking from sleep (also for 2 seconds), and when I take the brightness from all the way down to anything up. But it never stays on for more than a couple seconds. I can still see images on the screen it’s just not illuminated. A magnet did drop out while I was re-installing the LCD and I can’t tell where it is supposed to go....

Chosen Solution This is just a curiosity, would it be possible to put an iphone 5 back housing to have black sidings on a 5s. No, You can’t replace them. I’m not sure about the measurements, but places for the screws that hold the mother board are different. We know, Apple and other companies don’t like to make the spare parts compatible. Regards.

Chosen Solution A wet 5S came in and I washed the board in an ultrasonic cleaner. All it does now is flash the Apple logo and draw a steady 0.2A for a few seconds and then shuts off. Is there something in particular that I should be looking for (the board is visually fine) or do I really need to start testing components? Any help would be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance....

Because you bought it on eBay, it is impossible to know the history of this phone prior to your purchase and frankly, it’s not worth spending too much asking you because there is no reason to trust what the eBay seller will tell you (no offense to the eBay seller). The BSOD or Infinite Boot Loop are problems typically caused by either Long Screw Damage (while replacing or removing a screen assembly) or a bad charge circuit (U2)....

Chosen Solution Hello, I have a iphone 6 plus that had a touch ic disease so replaced the chip and made the M1 jumper. The phone works fine now except it has no cellular reception but wifi works great though. Any ideas on where to look for the problem? It worked fine prior to the repair. Check the antenna interconnect wire on the back of the board and insure that the board was properly mounted in the housing....

Chosen Solution I have a “service battery” showing up which when I looked into it, Apple.com said to reset the SMC. Has anyone else done this themselves? I wonder if the battery has to actually be removed completely and then after holding the power button for 5 seconds, reinstall the battery. Can’t the battery just be unplugged? Just disconnect the battery and push the power button for 5 seconds there is no need to physically remove the battery....

Chosen Solution is it worth me fixing the rare tied after it got hit n got bent n to fix it is coming out of my pocket n what parts u think it would need to get it atless in running conditiond Daisy Abarca , A good replacement tire and rim can be purchased from a good local auto recycling/wrecking yard $25-$75.00 depending on rim type(aluminum). But that is not the big concern here, if you hit something hard enough to bend the rim there may be hidden damage eg....
