Chosen Solution I would like to test a battery with multimeter to tell if it’s still good or dead. I understand that I should test voltage under load, connected through resistor not through direct connection to multimeter. What type of resistors (how much Ohm’s) should I get for propely testing the iPhone battery? You would need a Cadex battery testing device to get a truly accurate reading. Unfortunately, these cost thousands of dollars....

Chosen Solution I swapped the i5 with i7 7700; Startup population lags but much faster response. diagnostic shows no issue, smc reset did not help. running macOS 10.15.7 I have a Belkin express dock and an Apollo twin X; both worked with the i5 cpu. I also replaced the 5k spinning rust with a crucial 2t ssd and 32g 2400 ram. I tried rebooting back into original drive externally, but there was still no TB....

Hopefully you still have Apple Care if you do it might be free or at a reduced price. Is the phone still working? If not you may have more damage than just the screen....

Chosen Solution If this phone is connected to a wifi door entry system, will it show the face of the visitor I don’t think this phone has a web browser in which case it’s unlikely it’d be able to show images from a door entry system. You could look for a cheap Android phone, which almost certainly would do what you want.

Chosen Solution I performed a successful battery replacement with an iFixit kit per the amazing tutorial here: MacBook Pro 15" Retina Display Mid 2015 Battery Replacement / The replacement worked, the new iFixit battery was found in the system report, and I performed calibration successfully.After a few (2-3) days/cycles, the battery seems to have completely “vanished” - no longer visible in the top bar or system reports . Now whenever the laptop is disconnected from the MagSafe power adapter (always orange now after the initial green flash when connected), the laptop simply loses power and must be reconnected and rebooted....

Chosen Solution While working on some music production, my sound suddenly stopped working. I would use bluetooth but much of my work requires a higher fidelity than bluetooth allows. Both USB and HDMI are viable options except those ports are often needed.It seems that when using the headphone jack to do a line out to a pre-amp for my headphones it caused something to happen that has since disallowed my speakers (internal or headphone jack) to work....

Chosen Solution I have an iPhone 6 was black out but recognized by ITunes. I bought it to repair shop and they said backlight problem. They fixed it and charged $50. They called me to pick up and everything was working fine for a day and it black out again. The phone is still ringing when someone calling but screen is black. I called them and they said no warranty because it is not blacklight problem....

I’ve just opened it up however to find this… Looks to me like the battery has burst and started leaking for some reason. Chosen Solution I run a side business repairing iPhones doing anything that don’t require micro soldering. My skill level is pretty extensive as to understanding of the board and etc. just don’t have the equipment to properly repair micro soldering jobs. I’ve came across what I accessed as a simple job. Client stated that screen was busted just needed a replacement. I did the repair and a few hours later client states that phone is being unresponsive to touch at times....

Chosen Solution I have just changed my iPhone 6 plus display, i changed the full assembly. The iPhone is definitely very hot at the right hand side of the display towards the top. Its heats up in the area after seconds of light use. Only thing i can think of is maybe front camera and that i should transfer over original camera. Can anyone think of anything else… Also is there any tricks to get fingerprint working again....

Chosen Solution Hi friends, so I was using my iPhone one day and suddenly it got turned off and was not turning on, was not charging, no response at all. I thought it was dead I tried power button + home button to reset it, but nothing helped me but after approximately some hours I tried to power it on normally and it started working then again after few hours it stopped, I went to the local repair shop (Apple repair shops are not in my country) they said It seems software issue, they reinstalled the firmware/software with Itunes on my iPhone and boom it started working I paid them, then after almost one and a half day it again got dead completely, I went to another repair shop, he tried changing the battery but it was still not turning on still then he checked something inside the board and said It is dead he will try to fix it but there were holidays in my country for 4 days so he gave me back my phone and asked me to visit him after 4 days, I went home and kept trying pressing/holding the power button after every few hours but it was giving no response then after 2 days I tried charging it and it showed charging icon then turned on after few mins of charging....
