Chosen Solution This mac simply stopped dead, no previous symptoms whatsoever. Diagnostic LEDs indicated faulty logic board (#1 lit, #2/#3/#4 off). Replaced logic board with refurbished one, but with no effect (LEDs same as previously). So my question is - could the problem be the power supply? In others words, could LED#1 light even if there was insufficient power getting to the logic board? If this is the case, would it be worthwhile purchasing a used working power supply?...

Chosen Solution iMac Intel 20" 2.16gHz EMC 2105 and 2118 After replacing the internal HD(new-WD10EARX 1tb) wich went fine, running it with OSX Leopard(disc), I tried to format and partitioning the HD in Disk Utility, but it’s giving me an error: ‘input/output error’ Also it is seen as 7.3 tB. I have tried all possible ways in Disk Utility before I asked this question here. I read on the WWW some stories that there is a bug in OSX Leopard wich creates this error, could anyone give me more info how to solve this?...

Chosen Solution Client brings in iPad 3 Wi-Fi with GSM that he tried to reset because it was constantly re-booting. So it came in stuck on activation screen. It fails to activate, displaying that activation server is temporarily unreachable. I timed it, and exactly every 200 seconds it restarts, starting with what looks like a “grey curtain” being drawn over the screen then boot-looping. When on the activation screen, it charges and holds the charge normally....

Chosen Solution Heya, So my gf’s iPad Air A1475 suddenly stopped accepting power charge and no computer recognized it. Apple would charge $300+ to repair it with a new one being quoted at $370+, so she allowed me to try and fix it. This was my first time attempting electronic repair but I’m a fairly capable dude so I researched as much as I could before going about opening it. We tried hard resetting it and all with no luck - whenever you plugged a cable into the Lightning port the battery symbol appeared on the screen, blinking red but never actually charging....

Chosen Solution So I left my iPad at home and when I got back it was out of battery. I plug it in and instead of it powering up and charging like normal it is stuck on the white screen with the apple logo and play the sound it makes when you start charging over and over again in 3-5 second intervals. I have tried hard resetting by holding the sleep/wake button and the home button but it will just power itself on again and continue the loop....

Chosen Solution Hi everyone, i have a iphone 5s dropped in the water, i just took water in the bottom of the motherboard (battery). It is constantly boot loop and sometimes appears red screen. I opened it and removed all of the existing shields and removed all the ultrasound bath. I tried disconnecting the camera, changing charging connector, and more. I connected the power supply to the counter and me by an absorption of 0, 30 amperes....

Chosen Solution I’m attempting to repair an iPhone 6s Plus which I got for £50 an absolute steal. The phone looks as if it has never been opened before as the internal and the external condition is immaculate. There seems to be no indication of water damage either. But despite all this the phone is stuck in headphone mode when there are no headphones plugged in. I tried cleaning out the headphone jack which was also looked completely clean beforehand but this was obviously too simple to have worked the first attempt....

Chosen Solution Hi all , , i’ve got an iphone 6s here which i was told had been water damaged , having taken it apart it has obviously had a repair attempted already as the shields were off and under fill dug away , the board looks relatively clean with no signs of corrosion there are however some components missing , i think whoever took the under fill off was a bit heavy handed , as FL3202-1 was missing , i believe this is a filter on the vcc main to camera ....

Chosen Solution I need to replace the Audio Control Cable because the on-off switch no longer works. The replacement cable came without the metal brackets at the cable ends. The repair instructions stop at removing the audio control cable but do not tell me how to transfer the metal brackets from the old cable to the replacement part which came without brackets. Hi, It would’ve been much easier if you had found some with the metal brackets already attached, as it now becomes a more annoying job....

Chosen Solution i wanna install os x from flash but when i hold down ‘option’ there is firmware password and not giving access to boot… so what can i do how can i reset or unlock pls? Sadly, you’ll need to bring your system to an Apple Store for them to unlock it. But you will need proof of ownership do you still have your receipt and/or register your system when you got it....

Chosen Solution AAAAAARRRRGHHHH Someone help how the heck do you get into this thing? this has turned into a nightmare I’m replacing the dock port on this I’ve already busted the screen (glass just came straight off the LCD but thats a whole different story) I have also removed the 13 screws from the frame under then screen but i cannot get all the casing off the other side to get into where the motherboard & dock port is....

Chosen Solution Hi, so my airport hard drive health in S.M.A.R.T on Mac OS says it’s failing and I need a new hard drive however I also need a way to copy/clone the drive, Thanks :V Update: 7/28/2022: Apples Time Capsules use a custom Unix file system which can’t be cloned! What you can do is copy off the files to a temp drive, take the Capsule drive out and hook it up to your Mac to reformat using GUID/HFS+ This is wipe the drive to a point the Capsule can then reformat it self when you put the drive back in....

Chosen Solution I dropped my phone and can’t replace the button because if I do it will not recognize the ID and it has a password still on it. You can flash your iPhone with 3uTools. But don’t select the option: Retain User’s Data While Flashing. And your iPhone will just be like the new one without any data. Forgot passcode? You will have to restore the phone and lose all data to remove a passcode lock....

Chosen Solution The phone is just as same as the real thing but with to little memory, it does say on the back that it can be expand to 32gb, but how? iPhone memory is soldered directly to the logic board, so your only bet (assuming you’re not experienced in soldering BGAs) is to acquire a new logic board. I am not experienced with these “clones” you’re talking about, though, so there may be some other method to expanding the memory....
